Scotland

Famous throughout the world for its unique culture and traditions, its breathtaking landscapes, and its warm welcome to all visitors, Scotland is one of the most visited countries in the world. The lochs and glens of the Highlands, the stark beauty of her coast and islands, castles magnificently perched on rocky crags and palaces nestling in tree-lined valleys are just a few of the images that Scotland is famous for. Jacobite history, whisky distilleries, battlefields, thriving modern cities, the world famous Edinburgh Festival and the long days of summer sunlight are some of the features that make visiting Scotland such an unforgettable experience. There is a warm welcome from the locals that can be expected everywhere one travels throughout the country. Scotland is also a dynamic, modern nation with its own parliament, strong economy, international airports and a buzzing social scene.

Northern England

The northern counties of England - Lancashire, Yorkshire and Cumbria offer some of the most beautiful scenery and historical attractions or sites to be found in England. For centuries their importance in English history and their role in the appointment of the monarch in London was central to the politics of the nation. The romanticism of the mountains and lakes of the Lake District has been one of the greatest inspirations of English literature and art and today these regions are among the most visited areas of England, not only for their natural beauty and the many attractions to be visited but also for the friendly nature of the people of northern England.

Ireland

With a warm welcome and good craic guaranteed, a stay in ireland lets our students discover an island of contrasts. Ireland offers breathtaking scenery, cultural delights and truly captivating cities that boast an array of sights and activities. Ireland has left its past behind and is now one of the most welcoming destinations in Europe. There is so much to see including Belfast and Armagh, the mountainous regions of Mourne and Sperrin, and the UNESCO World Heritage site located on the famous Causeway Coastal route which officially is one of the most dramatic routes in the world, where mythical legends such as Finn MacCool have strong associations.

Southern England

The southern counties of England with their rolling hills and green fields represent much that England is famous for the world over. Historic towns such as Northampton, Ramsgate, Colchester and Bath and historic seaports such as Portsmouth have been spectators to much of English history and today are part of the thriving rich region of southern England.

London

The capital city of the United Kingdom, with a population of over 7,000,000, London is truly one of the world's greatest cities. There is so much to discover and enjoy that students return year after year to this most exciting and cosmopolitan of cities. Shopping opportunities are limitless - from the shops of Oxford Street, Regent Street and Bond Street to the boutiques of Covent Garden or the markets in Petticoat Lane or Camden. Museums include the world famous British Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum and many more. Historical monuments and buildings from the Tower of London, St Paul's Cathedral and the London Eye to Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament and Buckingham Palace offer something for everyone.
